I finally got the Get the Girl! book out and now I’m getting back to blogging.  Getting the book actually done felt like moving the earth and I had to make sacrifices in other areas of my life to get it done.  But now that it is out the door – I can get back to some of my regularly scheduled programming.

Here is a quick note about something I’ve noticed in field over the last 6 months.

I was pretty sure since I got into PU that hot girls never ever liked computer games.

I never got any points with women for having a 68 on World of Warcraft or killing lots of other dudes on-line in Gears of War.  So the whole “Girls Don’t Dig Computer Games” appeared to be a universal law of pickup.

Until …

… one night me and a wing pulled some girls back to his place.  Somehow we ended up playing Guitar Hero (GH) and the girls were all into it.  Then we started to regularly pull girls back to his place for drinks and ended up playing GH half the time.  Then another wing reported that one of his girls would not shut up about GH.  Then my girl got all into it too.

What finally prompted me to write about this was that one wing reported going to a social circle party where some guys were playing it and they seemed to get attraction because of their Guitar Hero chops.

It appears that GH trips some sort of emotional circuitry. I’m not sure why it works exactly yet – but, for sure, it is an actual pickup tool. If I had to venture a guess it may work similar to the future projections I talk about in the GTG! book.

Here are some experimental notes on how to use Guitar Hero as part of a pickup:

1. Don’t pull to Guitar Hero.  That is probably too dorky.  Pull to some other activity, like “After party at my place!” And then whip out the GH when you get there.

2. Play cooperative mode with your target.  Also, play some with some other girl to make your target jealous.

3. Make her the bassist.  Tease her lightly for just being the bassist.  When she is the bassist and you are the guitarist then you are subtly dominating her.  This causes attraction.

4. Play on easy mode.

5. Rock out and get crazy with her.  Be a Wildman but not try hard.  Your personality should not change much when you play GH.  Its just a great vehicle for being a super fun guy that you should always be.

6. Kino plow – for example, kiss her quick on the cheek then immediately go back to playing.  GH can be used a lot like the “drive-in kino plow” I talk about in the GTG! Book.

7. Ther are lots of great past/future projection opportunities related to the drummer overdosing (again), the original 80s tour, the reunion tour of 2010, having to go to rehab, and whatever else you can come up with.
